Dorian Warren

Dorian T. Warren is a progressive organizer advocating for social, economic and racial change. He is the President of Community Change and the Chair of the Economic Security Project. He also co-hosts The Nation’s System Check. He writes and speaks extensively on inequality, American politics, labor, political development and social movement. Warren frequently appears as a commentator on networks such as MSNBC, ABC, CNN, NPR and Bloomberg, among other outlets.

Previously, he was an associate professor of political science and public affairs at Columbia University. At Columbia, Warren was affiliated with the Institute for Research in African-American Studies, the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy, and the Center for Urban Research & Policy Seminar Series. In 2013, he was included on the list of NBC’s theGrio’s 100 people making history today.

Prior to his teaching position at Columbia University he worked with several organizations, including the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, American Rights at Work/Jobs with Justice and the NGLTF Policy Institute. You can see the full list of his publications here.
