Gabriel Sanchez teaches political science at the University of New Mexico (UNM) in Albuquerque. He is also a Principal for Latino Decisions, a Latino polling firm, and serves as Executive Director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Center for Health Policy at UNM.
Sanchez is the co-author of the book Hispanics and the U.S. Political System, and he has been published in journals such as Political Research Quarterly, Urban Affairs Review and many more. His work has been featured in The New York Times and BBC News Magazine.
In 2011, Sanchez was awarded the “Best Article” published in Political Research Quarterly, and in 2010, he was awarded the “Luminaria” UNM Presidential Award for Commitment to Diversity. He has been a guest on NPR and KUNM.
