Mehrsa Baradaran is a law professor at UC Irvine School of Law. She is the author of The Color of Money: Black Banks and The Racial Wealth Gap and How the Other Half Banks: Exclusion, Exploitation and the Threat to Democracy. Her research focuses on race, inequality and financial institutions.
Her research has been funded by New York University School of Law and Brigham Young University. She has testified before Congress, advised U.S. Senators and Congressmen on policy, and spoken at forums like the U.S. Treasury and World Bank.
