Dr. Michelle Ko is an assistant professor of public health at the University of California, Davis. She researches the connections between policy, healthcare and social inequality.
Her research and teaching span a range of topics including:
- Racial inequities in healthcare
- Aging and long-term services and supports
- Access to care for urban and rural underserved communities
- Diversity, equity and inclusion in the healthcare workforce
Ko was the lead researcher on a study that found women and minority health professionals face harassment and discrimination rural areas, and are sometimes even driven out by it.
