Dr. Praveen Mummaneni is a neurosurgeon at the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. He teaches at and vice-chairs the UCSF Department of Neurosurgery, as well as co-directs UCSF’s Spine Center.
As a neurosurgeon, Mummaneni specializes in complex cervical spine surgery and in minimally invasive spine surgery for a variety of conditions, including degenerative spinal disease, spinal deformity (scoliosis) and spinal tumors. He is also the editor of several textbooks on spinal surgery.From 2005 to 2014 he has been selected as one of the Best Doctors’ in America. In 2015, he was also listed in America’s Top Doctors ®by Castle Connolly.
