Phil Taylor

 

Phil Taylor, a senior writer for Sports Illustrated (SI), says that “basketball is his favorite sport to both play and cover.” He writes the weekly column The Hot Button for SI.com and was previously a sportswriter and columnist at the Miami Herald, the San Jose Mercury News, and The National.

According to his bio on SI.com, Taylor received the 1987 Associated Press Sports Editors Award for Feature Writing. He received his bachelor’s degree from Amherst College in Massachusetts and his master’s degree from Stanford University in California.
